Your questions, answered.
The essentials for your first reading, from choosing a deck to keeping your journal.
What is Arcana Guide?
Arcana Guide is a browser-based AI tarot reading app for physical tarot or playing cards. Choose a spread, draw your own cards, upload a photo or enter the cards manually, and receive a reflective interpretation.
Is Arcana Guide free?
Arcana includes one free reading per day. Premium is a lifetime unlock with a $10 USD minimum and $20 suggested contribution. Every contribution at or above $10 unlocks the same Premium features.
Do I need my own Gemini API key?
No. Arcana offers hosted AI, so you can start without your own API key. An optional Gemini key can be added in Settings for direct requests to Google. AI features need an internet connection.
Where are my readings saved?
Saved readings, journal notes, settings, and Premium activation stay in this browser. They do not automatically sync to another device or an AI assistant's browser. Export a journal backup to keep a copy.
Does Arcana draw cards for me?
You shuffle and draw your own physical deck. Arcana helps with layout, identification, interpretation, and reflection; it does not draw random cards.
Which cards can I use?
Arcana supports tarot and standard playing cards. You can upload a clear spread photo or select cards by hand. AI identification can be wrong, especially with unfamiliar artwork, so review each card and its position before continuing.
Which spread should I choose?
Start with one card for a daily focus or a three-card spread for a short reflection. Free spreads also include a six-card layout. Premium unlocks advanced layouts such as the Celtic Cross, relationship, and yearly spreads.
Can I use Arcana offline?
Once the app has loaded, classic readings use built-in meanings without an AI connection. Your first visit and AI identification or interpretation need internet access. Arcana does not guarantee that a fresh browser visit will load offline.
Can Muse or Dots use Arcana?
Arcana is a web app. Browser-capable assistants may be able to navigate it, but end-to-end use in Muse and Dots has not been verified and there is no dedicated connector. Their separate cloud browsers do not automatically have your local journal or Premium activation.
Does Arcana predict the future?
Arcana offers symbolic, reflective guidance. It does not guarantee predictions and does not provide medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice.
